(born 1956 in Düsseldorf)
In the late 1970s and 80s he was a member of the film ensemble Schmelzdahin. Beginning in the 80s he began making his own work in film, performance and installation often rooted in manual processing of film footage using mechanic and chemical influences and reconstruction of the cinematographic apparatus. Since 1992 he works together with the sound artist Thomas Köner in the fields of film, installation and performance. His works have exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Auditorium of the Louvre, Paris; Filmmuseum Amsterdam; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. 1997 he has got a scholarship from the Kunstfond in Bonn. Reble lives and works in Bonn, Germany.

Von 1979 bis 1989 war er zusammen mit Jochen Lempert und Jochen Müller Mitglied des Filmkollektivs Schmelzdahin. Er widmet seine Arbeit der Manipulierung der Filmemulsion mit biologischen und chemischen Mitteln. Seit 1992 arbeitet er mit dem Klangkünstler Thomas Köner in verschiedenen Performances zusammen. 1997 - 2003 begleitete er die Konzerte von Porter Ricks mit speziellen visuellen Arangements. 1997 erhielt er ein Stipendium des Kunstfond Bonn. Reble ist als Filmalchemist bekannt, denn er sucht das besondere Merkmal des Bildes. Die willkürliche Manipulierung mit chemischen und biologischen Prozessen hat als Ergebnis einen Sturm von nicht linearen Bildern, die sich rings um die Abstraktion, die Form und die Farbe konzentrieren.
